To enjoy the thermal spa you will need to bring your swim suit and a pair of sandals. You may also want to bring a robe, or you can rent one for your stay for $9. Towels are provided.
You can also bring a bag for additional personal items if you like, that may include lip balm, a good book, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.

In the Spring/Summer/Fall months a good pair of shoes and weather appropriate clothing is great to bring if you want to walk the Maple trail.

Our retreat offers year-round beauty, and our spa is open during all seasons. In the fall and winter months, be prepared for cooler temperatures; we always suggest bringing a toque for your spa visit. During spring, lighter clothing and rain gear might come in handy if you are planing to walk the trail. We suggest checking the weather forecast before your arrival to ensure you’re properly prepared for your visit.

Your safety and well-being are our top priorities. Please let us know if you have any allergies or special dietary needs ahead of time so we can accommodate them. For those planning to enjoy our thermal therapies or engage in physical activities, it's a good idea to consult with your doctor if you have any health concerns.

We ask that you respect the tranquility of our retreat by keeping noise levels low and maintaining a peaceful environment for all guests. You can plan to arrive to Maplestone about 15 minutes before your scheduled activities to give yourself time to settle in and get acquainted with the property.

Take a moment to breathe in the fresh air and then make your way up to the spa for check in via the Forest Trail in the Spring/Summer/Fall and via the cleared driveway in the Winter months.

We do ask that you wait to proceed up to the spa a maximum of 10 min before your booking time as to not disturb other guests enjoying the spa during their booked time. Our friendly staff will be on hand to assist with check-in and provide a brief orientation to ensure you’re comfortable and ready for your visit.

Maplestone is set within the rugged Lanark Highlands, designed to blend with the natural terrain and include various man-made rock features. As a result, our installations are spread across different elevations, with some steps and inclines throughout the site.

We offer accessible parking spots near the main entrance, while general parking is located downhill and involves a short hike. If you have mobility concerns, please contact us before your visit, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

We offer a small complimentary snack at our on-site Maple Shop, where you can also purchase house-made pastries, maple syrup, and branded merchandise.

You can also pre-order one of our Charcuterie or Finger Food snack plates to enjoy during your booked time at Maplestone. Please note outside food is not permitted.

You are permitted to bring outside alcohol; however, it is a self-serve option only, and we will provide the glasses. We have a complimentary fridge located in the reception area for your use during your stay.
